In this free 10-week music class, students ages 15-19 from the Bronzeville area and greater South side of Chicago will learn to write their own songs of liberation based off of templates from the civil rights era.

Using the story of Emmett Till as historical context, students will draw upon the sounds of anti-prison movements and place them in a modern context, utilizing digital and analog instrumentation.
