Witnesses from We Art Witness series produced by The Marshall Project

Join us for a screening and discussion of We Are Witnesses: Chicago, the latest installment of The Marshall Project’s Emmy-nominated film series We Are Witnesses. A selection of films from the new series will be shown, followed by a panel discussion with the Witnesses introduced by Shannon Heffernan from WBEZ and moderated by Carroll Bogert, President of The Marshall Project.

The panelists include:

Cleopatra and Nathaniel Pendleton- Parents of Hadiya Pendleton, who was killed by gun violence.

Carrie Steiner – Former Chicago police officer and clinical psychologist

Xavier McElrath-Bey – Formerly incarcerated as a juvenile

Dr. Nneka Jones – Former warden of Cook County Jail
