This hip hop peace circle is targeted to young men and women ages 14-20 who have directly dealt with incarceration, homelessness and gang activity.

Explore how figures in history have dealt with the impacts of the criminal justice system and how it has shaped their strengths, weaknesses, abilities and limitations in their own lives.

Each week, the circle will explore and discuss a specific topic using poetry, graffiti or songs and lyrics. These art forms and artistic processes will then be analyzed by the group to promote healing, peace, freedom, and hope in a safe space.

Students are highly encouraged to attend all ten weeks. Class size is limited and advance enrollment is strongly recommended.
